Charles W. (Chuck) Tomlin, CPA, is a Shareholder in LBMC’s Tax practice and Leader of LBMC’s office in Chennai, India. With more than 35 years of tax experience, Chuck works with a diverse portfolio of clients, many of whom he has served for 15 years or more. He supports privately held businesses and private clients with strategic tax planning, compliance, and advisory services, delivering practical guidance that aligns with long-term business and personal financial goals.
Chuck’s industry focus includes construction and real estate, manufacturing, healthcare, and retail. He also advises clients with international operations, including U.S.-based companies owned by foreign parent entities, helping them navigate U.S. tax considerations and complex cross-border matters.
In addition to day-to-day tax leadership, Chuck provides M&A tax support for both buyers and sellers, guiding transaction structuring, due diligence, and post-transaction considerations. He also represents clients before the IRS and state tax authorities, supporting resolution of examinations and tax-related disputes with a steady, solutions-oriented approach.
